Fire Your Boss - 5 Good Reasons You Should Quit Your Job For Financial Freedom By B. P. Harty

If you're like most people, then odds are that you currently have a job. Unfortunately, if you're like many others, it's a dead end job with no advancements let alone a retirement. I used to work as a construction worker, bagger and checker at a grocery store, pizza boy, military, and electrician - and for SOME reason, I just could never seem to get ahead. And just recently I was laid off due to the economy; it was probably the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Hold on, hold on, I know what your thinking. Today I'll just call in and tell everyone to pack sand, right? Not necessarily. In todays economy, it has become increasingly important to think ahead toward the future; but if you want to tell your boss that s/he is fired, then now is the time to make such provisions without burning bridges.

I struggled to find another job so I can make ends meet, including being turned down by state and county employment due to hiring freezes and budgeting. My funds were steadily DECREASING, my bills were steadily INCREASING, and I came upon the depressing reality of what exactly I was fighting so hard for - 5 good reasons to quit your job for financial freedom:

1.Time is money

But how much money is your time worth? Most people who have jobs are working for wages, and not by how much they are actually worth. Smart people build models and systems that generate money 24/7 with little to no maintenance. This, my friends, is how the rich get rich, and the poor stay poor - because they find suckers who have been brainwashed into thinking that slaving away for someone else is mandatory and the only socially acceptable way to do it (make money).

I personally think that trading YOUR time for WAGES is a dumb and insulting way to generate income - unless, of course, you like your job. BUT! You only get paid when you're working. I'll leave you for a second to let that sink in... ... ... ...

Okay, lets say you're making a bit above minimum wage in California. You just got a raise from $8.25 to $9.00/hr. Congratulations! If you're working 40hrs/week, you're earning $1440/mo BEFORE taxes! YAY! And if you live in California, you know all too well that $1440 BEFORE taxes barely covers rent, let alone food and groceries and insurance and registration and electricity and other utilities and and and.. You get the idea. It's no wonder everyone is in debt.

By now you should be waking up, and those who are awake are the ones who are most free.

2.Domestication

Getting a job is a lot like tying a dog to a leash, and after a while you learn to behave. Look around your workplace and tell me I'm wrong. NO WAIT DONT! Thats rhetorical. Would you say the cage in which you work is the model for a free human being?

Many people use their jobs as their social outlet. They hang out with the same people working in the same field, and they talk about the same things; and such incestuous relations is social suicide.

When people get jobs they are effectively GROUNDED. Grounded in the sense that there really isn't anywhere they can go before they have to report to their master. However, if you have a steady job, you may have a tiny window consisting of 2-3 days in which you can go anywhere your heart desires. Good for you. But even then, schedules that start late and end short KILL your entire day, leaving you with very limited options.

3.Beg for money: Please, sir, may I have some more?

Whenever your in need of more income, do you have to sit up and beg your master for more money? Do you feel a sense of accomplishment when the "almighty boss" throws you an extra $50 to pacify your disdain?

Are you aware that the origins of the word "boss" comes from "baas," a Dutch word meaning "master?" That may not mean anything to you right now, but think of that the next time you jump through their hoops to get a $0.40/hr raise.

4.Where does it all go?

Employee's income is the most heavily taxed. In the USA you can expect to have half your salary go to taxes, so that $1440/mo is really much less. The tax system is designed to disguise how much you're really giving away; after all, some of those taxes are paid by your employer. But you can be certain that your employer's defense is, "all of those taxes are considered part of your pay."

Payments to local, state, and federal governments. Social Security & Tax Credits. Defense. Government debt interests. Overseas aid. Law enforcement. Etc. Etc.

You're only paid a fraction of the real value you generate. Your real salary may be more than double what you're actually taking home, but most of that money you'll never see.

5.Oppression

It takes a lot of effort to break the will of a human being. But not after they already broke down and decided it was time to work at Wal-Mart. A good way to smear an employee's individuality is to burden them with heavy policy manuals littered with rules and regulations, that only make sense to the employer's desire to terminate you if you show any signs of resistance.

By signing up as an employee at said company, or whatever company you so desire, you agree to the terms of that employer - Thus forfeiting your freedoms for the "opportunity" to make that companies share-holders and CEO's rich!

After getting a job, most people will conclude that it's safer to simply obey, without question and offer no objection, to the opinions of their peers and managers. As part of their conditioning, employees must learn how to dress, walk, talk, move, so on and so forth. This can be very dangerous in the sense that you are now being developed into a slave, free from any personality and free from any desires or thought while on the clock. What most people don't realize is this: you DO have the freedom to NOT be a slave to the clock!

Conclusion & Solution

We are very fortunate to be living in an era where information is readily available, just waiting to be consumed by our infinite quest for knowledge.

The tools you need to free and prepare yourself for the future are the willingness to learn, a computer, and an internet connection! Well, there might be some others, but those are the essentials.

I'm talking, of course, about working for yourself. There are hundreds of ways you can free yourself from the clock, but my personal favorite is Internet Marketing.

This is a site that helps introduce you to financial independence and walks you through the process STEP BY STEP. They give you the tools and knowledge, but its up to you with what you do with it. There are hundreds of other sites that you can go to, but WealthyAffiliate is my favorite. Check them out or Google for whatever will work for YOU.

Make no mistake, you WILL have to put forth SOME effort and thought, but its sure a lot easier than working!

As the saying goes, "If you can't make money on the internet, then maybe you should get a job." And the sooner you access this priceless information, the sooner you can say to your boss, "Hey boss. You're fired."
